हिंदी दिवस

 भारत में हिंदी सिर्फ एक आम बोलचाल की भाषा ही नहीं, बल्कि यहां की राजभाषा भी है, जिसके सम्मान में हम हर साल 14 सितंबर को पूरे देश में ‘राष्ट्रीय हिंदी दिवस’ मनाते हैं। 

अब हिंदी दिवस के बारे में जानने से पहले हमें यह समझना होगा, कि आखिर क्यों हमें हिंदी के लिए किसी एक दिन को चुनना पड़ा? तो आज हम आपको इस लेख के माध्यम से, राष्ट्रीय हिंदी दिवस (Hindi Diwas) से जुड़ी सभी रोचक जानकारियां दे रहे हैं। 

हिंदी दिवस का इतिहास 

भारत की आज़ादी के दो साल बाद 1949 में हिंदी को भाषा के रूप में मान्यता दी गयी और देवनागरी लिपि में लिखी गई एक इंडो-आर्यन भाषा को, नवगठित राष्ट्र की आधिकारिक भाषा के रूप में अपनाया गया। देश को मिली आज़ादी के बाद, अब संविधान में नियमों और कानून के अलावा नए राष्ट्र की आधिकारिक भाषा का मुद्दा भी अहम था। तब 14 सितंबर 1949 को, संविधान सभा ने एक मत होकर हिंदी भाषा को राजभाषा बनाने का फैसला लिया। कुछ साल बाद, जवाहरलाल नेहरू की सरकार ने इस ऐतिहासिक दिन के महत्व को देखते हुए, हर साल भारत में 14 सितंबर को हिन्दी दिवस के रूप में मनाने का फैसला किया और साल 1953 में पहली बार हिंदी दिवस मनाया गया।

                                            14 सितंबर को ही क्‍यों होता है हिंदी दिवस 

हिंदी दिवस को लेकर ऐसा कहा गया है, कि 14 सितम्बर 1949 को हिंदी भाषा के पुरोधा कहे जाने वाले व्यौहार राजेन्द्र सिंहा का 50वां जन्मदिन था, जिन्होंने इसको राष्ट्रभाषा बनाने के लिए बहुत लंबा संघर्ष किया था।

ऐसा कहा गया है, कि भारत विविधताओं का देश है और यही वजह है, कि यहां कई सारी भाषाएं और बोलियां बोली जाती हैं, मगर इन सब में सबसे ज्यादा बोली जाने वाली भाषा हिंदी है।

                                                        हिंदी दिवस मनाने का उद्देश्य

हिंदी दिवस मनाने का एक उद्देश्य यह भी है, कि हम हमारे समाज से गुम हो रही हिंदी को बचाने का प्रयास कर रहे हैं। आज़ादी से पहले, भारत में सभी सरकारी कामकाज अंग्रेजी भाषा में हुआ करते थे। हालांकि, देश की आज़ादी के बाद लोगों के बीच हिंदी भाषा को लगातार बढ़ावा दिया गया। लेकिन 14 सितंबर के दिन देश के नागरिकों को यह समझाने का प्रयास किया जाता है, कि जब तक वह हिंदी को पूरी तरह से नहीं अपनाएंगे, तब तक इस भाषा का विकास होना संभव नहीं है।

                                                    इन देशों में भी बोली जाती है हिंदी

हिंदी को हमेशा भारत से जोड़कर देखा जाता है, लेकिन क्या आपको पता है कि भारत के अलावा भी कई देशों में हिंदी बोली और समझी जाती है। इनमें फिजी, मॉरीशस, फिलीपींस, अमेरिका, न्यूजीलैंड, यूगांडा, सिंगापुर, नेपाल, गुयाना, सुरिनाम, त्रिनिदाद, तिब्बत, दक्षिण अफ्रीका, यूनाइटेड किंगडम, जर्मनी और पाकिस्तान जैसे देश शामिल हैं।

हिंदी भाषा के बारे में एक रोचक जानकारी यह भी मिलती है, कि आज हम जो हिंदी लिखते हैं, इसकी शुरुआत 1900 ईसवी में हुई थी। वहीं, खड़ी बोली यानी हिंदी में लिखी गई पहली कहानी इंदुमती थी। इसे किशोरीलाल गोस्वामी ने लिखा था और इसकी हिंदी भाषा काफ़ी हद तक वैसी ही है, जैसी आज लिखी और बोली जाती है।

History Behind Teachers’ Day

Teachers have been acclaimed for their selfless service all around the world from the beginning of time. They have been considered as makers of a nation. They take care of kids from the time they are five or six till they are 18 to 20 years of age. Like it is said, the formative years of a child determine the kind of person he or she would grow up to be, and this is mostly in the hands of their teachers.

For the kind of dedication teachers show, it would be wrong not to express our gratitude. In order to laud the teachers for their accomplishments and service, UNESCO started the tradition of celebrating Teachers’ day all over the world in October 1994. However, in India, Teachers’ Day is celebrated on the 5th of September every year in honour of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, who was a scholar, teacher and politician, for his exemplary contribution to the field of education.

Celebrating Teachers’ Day

In academic institutions, among the various events celebrated every year, Teachers’ day is considered as an important occasion. It is one day in the whole academic year when teachers are made to feel special and valued.

On Teachers’ day, students put up cultural performances and conduct games for teachers. The Institution, on the other hand, provides a special lunch or refreshments and mementoes as a token of their appreciation for the invaluable service they render.

However, the education scenario has changed drastically from a time when teachers graded students for their performance to the present when students are asked to fill up survey forms to rate teachers. This is good as long as it is constructive and aids in the betterment of both teachers and students. This system, on the contrary, has been risking the job security of teachers for no fault of theirs. It is a pity that a teacher would most probably lose his/her job if he/she is not able to please the children and their parents. Teachers have almost become puppets in the hands of the students and management. In such a situation, Teachers’ day might turn out to be the only good day in the lives of teachers. Whatever be the case, every teacher deserves to be recognized, and a day like Teachers’ day would be the perfect occasion to do so.
